Personal papers, correspondence, and other items belonging to Leon H. Miller (1880-1939) and Ada Holender Miller of Buffalo, New York ; both Millers were strongly active Zionists both before and after the founding of the State of Israel, and Mrs. Miller was founding president of the Buffalo chapter of Hadassah. The archives include correspondence with Justice Louis D. Brandeis, Henrietta Szold, and other Zionists ; materials on Jewish settlement in British Palestine and in Israel ; financial materials advertising State of Israel bonds and Israeli stock offerings ; materials relating to Hadassah and to the Zionist Organization of America ; and family photographs, jewelry, etc.

Henrietta Szold, Zionist leader, was born in Baltimore of Hungarian-Jewish parentage. She taught school at the Misses Adams School in Baltimore, and was the founder of a night school for Russian immigrants in Baltimore in 1889.
